Hello, I’m Georgia Modi—a photographer, UX designer, and writer passionate about storytelling, creative problem-solving, and crafting beautiful, thoughtful solutions. I recently completed the Google UX Design Certificate, where I enhanced my skills in research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. With a background in photography and a degree in English writing, I bring a unique blend of visual intuition and narrative clarity to all my projects.
I have been running Georgia Modi Photography for over a decade, specializing in capturing live events, portraits, and branded content within Chicago’s music scene. Working in such a fast-paced and competitive environment has taught me how to balance creativity with strategy, whether behind the camera, developing editorial content, or managing social media campaigns.
Additionally, I spent several years as a press coordinator and photo editor at YourEDM. In that role, I led a national photography team, managed editorial workflows, and collaborated closely with PR and artist teams to bring stories to life. This experience deepened my collaboration and leadership skills, teaching me how to create engaging, people-centric work across various media.
Beyond design and photography, I have also written for Musings on Art, where I explored art history and culture through long-form essays. Each article required extensive research, allowing me to connect ideas across disciplines, which I find incredibly rewarding.
Now, I am channeling all of that experience into UX design, focusing on creating digital experiences that are functional, inclusive, and genuinely enjoyable to use. If you want to make something meaningful, I would love to be a part of it.
