Hi, I’m Georgia Modi—a photographer, UX designer, and writer who’s always been drawn to storytelling in all its forms. Whether I’m capturing a fleeting moment on camera or crafting a digital experience, I strive to create work that feels thoughtful, human, and well-crafted.

I recently completed the Google UX Design Certificate, where I honed my skills in research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. With a background in photography and a degree in English writing, I bring a mix of visual intuition and narrative clarity to everything I work on.

For over a decade, I’ve run Georgia Modi Photography, shooting live events, portraits, and branded content, often in the middle of Chicago’s fast-paced music scene. That work taught me how to balance creativity with strategy, especially when things move fast and the stakes are high.

I also spent several years as a press coordinator and photo editor at Your EDM, where I led a national team of photographers, managed editorial workflows, and collaborated with artists and PR teams to craft stories that resonated with audiences. It gave me a deeper appreciation for collaborative work and the behind-the-scenes effort required to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Outside of design and photography, I’ve written long-form essays on art history for Musings on Art, diving into the lives of artists and the cultural shifts that shaped their work. I love connecting ideas across disciplines and bringing that kind of context and care into my design process.

These days, I’m channeling all of that experience into UX design, building digital experiences that are accessible, intentional, and user-friendly. If you’re working on something meaningful and are looking for a thoughtful collaborator, I’d love to connect.
